Considering Cathay Pacific Business as an option on a trip from Europe to Southeast Asia (A350 or 777) and was wondering about the padding and softness (a pet peeve of mine, sleep is important) of Cathay's J seat, as I read in an old thread that they were one of the most comfortable. I'm wondering if this is still true?

The seat itself has very good padding especially on the 777 but note that they don't provide mattress pad in J, I have not find that a problem.

The A330 is reasonable , the B777 is OK and the A350 is really good ,one of the best around. Sure there are a couple of Airlines that are a bit better but not much, I prefer the A350 In all respects. Much quieter , lower cabin altitude and really good IFE and seats. You can't go wrong with flying on the A350 with CX , I loved it!

Still true . I always use a second duvet as padding over the seat this assists with comfort and sleep . Pity CX don't provide a mattress pad which would make a huge difference to the comfort.
