I see it's all over the news that Qantas is supposedly going to be announcing a major shake up of how the Qantas Frequent Flyer program runs, tomorrow morning.
Any ideas or thoughts on what they could be announcing?
1. Removal of Minimum Miles Guarantee and move to a revenue based points reward system, where A$1 spent on Qantas and Jetstar (excluding taxes) will be able to earn say X Qantas points for example. In this case, if we buy the cheapest fare from Sydney to Melbourne for say, $119, you could earn less points, but it will reward more for flexible ticket holders.
2. Introduction of more ways to earn status credits, for example we can earn status credits on Emirates.

There's almost 100 comments of just that on yesterday's article https://www.ausbt.com.au/qantas-plans-major-overhaul-of-frequent-flyer-scheme

Confirming that Qantas is promising "a significant increase" in the number of international award seats as part of tomorrow's announcement.
