i purchased a priority pass this morning for a multi-stop trip i'm to take next month.
as
a sydney resident i was relieved to see that it was apparently now
possible to use the house in my home city via a priority pass and a
$20AUD upgrade fee, as has been the case via dragonpass.
i'd
read many unfavourable reviews of dragonpass service however - and my
negative impressions were cemented by witnessing multiple errors of
spelling and grammar across their app and website - so i wished to avoid
them in favour of priority pass ideally.
however there is an
anomaly on the priority pass side of the coin too, namely that this
offer to use the house in sydney only appears on their app and nowhere
on their website. i can actually find no mention of this agreement
anywhere online.
i'm hoping this is due to this being a recent arrangement, rather than an error. can anyone confirm either way?
Interesting ... previous times I've been to The House (as a VA Gold/J class pax) it hasn't been overly busy, but it isn't giant either. I hope this doesn't massively change that given there are no other Priority Pass lounges in Terminal 1; and particularly since the "50% increase in size" that was promised when it moved across from Etihad hasn't materialised yet.
I'm surprised Executive Traveller haven't written a story on this development as yet, given the dearth of options for PP holders flying internationally from Sydney. Personally I'm very glad about this new possibility - it's long overdue and is exactly what I was hoping might happen to enable me to choose Priority Pass over Dragonpass.

The House does not appear on the priority pass app, so I'm not sure where you're seeing this.

Just checked the app and "The House" is on there with the $20 supplement PP.

The House was obviously appearing on the app but not the PP site when I wrote the original post - but since raising the disparity both here and directly with PP it has now been added to their website also: https://www.prioritypass.com/en/lounges/australia/sydney-kingsford-smith/syd15p-the-house---additional-fee-applies
