We are travelling First Class from LAX to LAS on AS in December. We have 3hrs transit in LAX, can we access the Admirals lounge in T4 or T5 before our flight in T6? A range of websites say yes in strange ways, but none specifically say. We are One World Gold also and Alaska First Class. Let me know if anyone knows or has experience. (We mainly want to have a quick shower and AS lounge doesn't have showers).
No - only subscribed Alaska Lounge members may use the Admirals Lounge when travelling on AS or AA. Flying F on AS does not grant entry. Instead, you'll need to head to the AS Lounge in T6. (OneWorld status is irrelevant here, as AS is not a OneWorld member.)
A little 'off topic', I know .. but I'm somewhat surprised that the joint announcement by AS and AA made last week regarding the re-alignment of both carrier's programs hasn't yet seemed to have attracted an article or review by ET staff.
Whilst the re-alignment doesn't take full effect until March next year, it offers commentary on transitional arrangements regarding lounge access and the gradual reduction of code-shared route flying arrangements.
The LAX Alaska lounge is the one you will have access and the good news is that it is recently renovated.
Yes I can confirm this, I was there late July and its a nice little lounge. Food is minimal but craft beer on tap makes up for it. There is also made to order Starbucks coffee in the lounge, if that's your jam.

Thanks Everyone! Won't waste time running between terminals. Will just use AS lounge. Do we know if there is showers there?

From memory no shower, best to contact AS to see your options for a shower.
