Is there an up-to-date list of hotels in the Sydney CBD area that are being used as quarantine locations for returning OS travellers? Whilst the risk of conamination may be very small, I would like to avoid these places when making bookings for work trips until the vacinations pick up pace and I get the jab.
To clarify: by mixed use I meant guests in isolation being in the same building as guests not in isolation. The risk of contamination via air-conditioning is real, but largely downplayed. I did not intend to infer that those two categories would be in the restaurant, pool, executive lounge etc together. One would hope that staff who have worked on isolation floors would not be allowed to enter non-isolation floors but how can that be guaranteed? My personal choice is not to risk staying at hotels that "burn the candle at both ends", to use an old expression in a new context.

The best way to be sure is to call the hotel you are looking at staying and ask them if they are/have been a quarantine hotel before you book. I had to plan a trip to Sydney recently and did just that. The hotel quickly confirmed that they are not / were never been a quarantine hotel and I just booked online after.
The risk of contamination is real. I don't know why mixed use is allowed.
How do you know mixed use is allowed? Source?
Eminere there is quite a bit of media comment on mixed use hotels that is those that have floors dedicated to quarantine. The issue is having isolated entrances, lifts, stairs, not to mention air conditioning to avoid cross contamination. The latest versions of the bug seem to be very easily transmissible in common use spaces.

Mixed use is not allowed in the NSW program.
If you believe a hotel is doing otherwise, name and shame.
