Dallas/Fort Worth airport to get free wifi

IN BRIEF | Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport is in line for free wifi across all five terminals including boarding gates and parking garages.

The airport, which has become a popular stop-over for Australian travellers since Qantas began direct Sydney-Dallas/Fort Worth flights, will launch the service in September with US carrier AT&T.

As a condition of access, however, the airport says that travellers will have to view a 30 second advertisement for every 40 minutes of network usage. Sounds like an easy deal to us!

"The deal to provide AT&T wifi access across DFW Airport is a tremendous leap forward for our passengers in terms of speed and coverage area, and it answers one of our most frequently-requested customer enhancements” said Jeff Fegan, CEO of DFW International Airport.
