Dream Hollywood hotel opens in Los Angeles in mid-2016

Paying homage to mid-century yet modern architecture, the Dream Hollywood hotel prepares to welcome guests in Los Angeles from later this year with many earthy touches and an easy rooftop vantage point for spotting the nearby Hollywood sign.

Offering 179 guestrooms and suites, the property claims its city skyline views are “unparalleled” from the 1,000 square metre rooftop bar and lounge, which also comes with a private entrance to help maximise privacy for celebrities and other VIP guests.

That’s where you’ll also find a separate nightlife venue and dance area with a retractable roof, plus a pool with waterside cabanas, a fire pit plus a ‘secret garden’ that adjoins the rooftop café.

The outdoor vibe also continues indoors with garden-inspired elements throughout the hotel such as strips of grass set between stone tile flooring and a trellis-inspired divider wall interspersed with candles.

On reaching the rooms, guests will notice two distinct colour schemes: one inspired by sky, water, and white houses against a desert backdrop, and the other a stance from the inside out, drawing on the warmer hues of a sunset.

There’s also a Presidential Suite on-hand with its own views of Los Angeles through floor-to-ceiling windows, plus a dining and bar area, a glass enclosed daybed for lounging, a living room that can be transformed into a private movie screening room and a private landscaped terrace.

You’ll find the hotel, once opened, on the corner of Selma Avenue and North Cahuenga Boulevard, aside a pedestrian alleyway…

… which links the hotel to its adjacent restaurant and nightlife venues that occupy almost half of the city block.
