Emirates opens Heathrow T3 arrivals lounge for limo transfer

From lounge to limo to London – that's the promise of Emirates for its business class and first class passengers landing at Heathrow T3.

A new arrivals lounge, located kerbside at Heathrow's Terminal 3, is designed to let Emirates' incoming passengers take a wee break while waiting for their complimentary chauffeur-drive service.

The lounge is more of a 'rest stop' facility than an full-on arrivals lounge (such as that of Cathay Pacific in Hong Kong).

With seating for up to 30 people there's the usual selection of tea, coffee, drinks and snacks,  newspapers and magazines, a business area with desktop PCs plus free WiFi.

Emirates’ chauffeured vehicles are parked 15 metres from the lounge, so passengers can walk straight to their awaiting limo rather than wait in the car park area. Also on call is a porter service to assist with luggage.

"Heathrow is our biggest UK airport operation, with two of our five flights served by Emirates A380s and we anticipate that around 200 passengers will use the chauffeur-drive lounge every day," said Laurie Berryman, Emirates’ Vice President UK & Ireland.

"By opening this new facility, we are ensuring that all our First Class and Business Class passengers experience seamless journeys from their aircraft seat to their luxury chauffeured vehicle."
