Emirates President Tim Clark has cut the ribbon on the airline's new lounge at Glasgow Airport, and just in time for the Commonwealth Games.
Complete with tarmac views, the modern 736 square metre lounge comes packed with showers, a business centre, a dining area, relaxed seating areas and free wireless Internet access.
It’s also just a short walk from Emirates’ usual departure point of Gate 30.
On the guest list are:
- First and business class passengers travelling onwards with Emirates
- Skywards Gold, Platinum and IO members travelling on an Emirates flight (with an EK or QF code)
- Qantas Frequent Flyer Gold, Platinum, Platinum One and Chairmans Lounge members travelling with Emirates on either an EK or QF flight number
Clark said: "Our new Emirates Lounge at Glasgow is the largest at the airport and represents a significant £2 million direct investment.
“Its opening celebrates our decade-long operations and our close ties with Scotland.”
The Glasgow lounge takes its design cues from the airline's new and contemporary Rome Airport lounge, unveiled in April this year.
