If you’re a small business owner and aren’t yet on board with the Qantas Aquire program, you’re missing out on earning valuable Aquire Points that can be converted into personal Qantas Frequent Flyer points.
Through Aquire, businesses can earn points when flying, using their company credit cards, buying office supplies and more.
Not sure how it all works for newcomers? Here are five reasons you’ll want to join Aquire today.
1. Aquire Points = Qantas Frequent Flyer points
At the heart of it all, Aquire Points earned by your business exist solely to become personal Qantas Frequent Flyer points with a straight 1:1 conversion rate.
What you do with those points – book a free trip for yourself, upgrade your staff travel from economy to business or give every employee a toaster for Christmas – is completely up to you.

2. The $50 joining fee lands 10,000 Aquire Points
If you join Aquire today, you’ll get 10,000 Aquire Points just for signing up and paying a $50 joining fee.
No, it’s not free, but 10,000 Aquire Points = 10,000 Qantas Points, which is enough for a round-trip upgrade from economy to business class between Sydney and Melbourne on flexible fares – which comes out at just $25 per flight.
Given that business class airfares are often double the price of flexible economy tickets, or quadruple the cost of flying in discounted economy, that’s a benefit that could save your business hundreds of dollars and costs just a fraction of that.

3. Earn 1 Aquire Point, get another 10,000 points
As an added bonus for new members, when you join Aquire and earn points with any of its partners before November 16 2014, you’ll get another 10,000 Aquire Points to distribute as you see fit.
Remember that upgraded economy flight? You’d have already bought a paid economy fare to enable the upgrade, on which your business would not only earn Aquire Points, but would also trigger the second round of giveaways.
If you’re not flying over the next few weeks, Aquire has many partners on the ground that award points, including Staples, Secure Parking and GIO Insurance.

4. Earn Aquire Points and Qantas Points at the same time
When flying for work, the business can earn Aquire Points in addition to the Qantas Points already being earned by your road warriors.
The number of personal frequent flyer points earned on flights isn’t reduced when adding an Aquire number to the booking, which allows both the business and the traveller to benefit from the journey.
Aquire Points can be earned on Qantas-operated flights that are booked through Qantas, and also when travelling on a Qantas QF flight number with Emirates and American Airlines.
5. Free Regus membership + 1,000 bonus Aquire Points
Once you’re a member of Aquire, you’ll also enjoy a free Regus membership that gives travellers five free visits to Business Lounges in cities around the world, mostly located in CBDs and acting as an ‘office away from the office’.
You’ll also earn a bonus 1,000 Aquire Points when visiting a Business Lounge for the first time, which is an easy way to build on your already-bountiful welcome bonus.
Better yet, one of those visits could be to the new Regus arrivals lounge at London Heathrow Airport after earning both Qantas and Aquire Points on the long trek from Australia to the UK.

Obtaining extra QFF points gratis is great, but the joke of it is, try and find a J award seat to USA, virtually impossible, an upgrade well if you have high QFF status a chance, now with so many new members and points giveaways like this, award seats are getting even harder to come by unless your down the back of the bus.

Need to look as far in advance as possible (for award J/F seats) and literally be there to book as soon as they are released.

Most of my international travel is for work, but I do a lot of domestic for leisure (probably the opposite of typical business travel patterns) so these deals are fantastic for me.
