Four Points by Sheraton Sydney, Darling Harbour hotel to expand
Starwood’s Four Points by Sheraton Sydney, Darling Harbour hotel will gain a third tower, 222 new guestrooms and upgraded conference facilities as part of a $200 million development plan.
The facelift runs through August 2016, taking the total guestroom count to an impressive 905 with many offering uninterrupted water views of Darling Harbour:
Four Points’ rooftop watering hole, Bar Eleven, will remain open during the works for business travellers looking to unwind after a productive day.
The third tower also brings with it a new bar, restaurant and lobby area, plus two pillar-less ballrooms with the largest seating up to 1,100 people (below) to rival the revamped Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, re-opening in the same year.
Existing rooms, dining and conference facilities at the property also underwent a $30 million refurbishment in 2013, with the hotel continuing to welcome guests during its upgrade and expansion project.

its good to see that Starwood are taking Australia more seriously now and expanding and adding additional hotels to the group in the region. I however wonder how this hotel plans on lifting its game in terms of customer service as over the past few years it has become a laughing stock and treats customers as though they are nothing at all. I held Star Privilege Gold membership for 3 years and following a stay here I have ceased my membership with Star Privilege as it simply was rude and unacceptable the response i got regarding my complaints of which there were many. I have decided instead to give my annual subscription based membership to Accor instead. Please starwood if you wish to keep guest returning then fix this hotel before you expand it or remove it from the group all together if need be.
