Free: ten million Qantas Frequent Flyer points up for grabs

Qantas is giving away ten million frequent flyer points to mark the '10 millionth member milestone' for the airline's loyalty program.
The competition is now open and will run through to June 15, 2014, with nine winners each picking up one million Qantas Points.
To enter, click through to the online contest page and share your story of how one million Qantas Points could change your life, or the life of someone you know.
Interestingly, the contest's terms and conditions reveal that Qantas declares "the maximum notional value of each prize is AU$22,844.50" – which means the airline is placing a value of 2.28 cents on each point.
So if you've ever wondered how much a Qantas frequent flyer point is really worth, there's your answer – at least in the eyes of Qantas and for the purposes of this contest.

It's actually ten million with the NZ comp at https://www.nzherald.co.nz/promotions/news/article.cfm?c_id=500848&objectid=11264047. The primary comp is 9m but the total prize pool with NZ is 10 million.

Side note: the word limit is 200 for Australian entrants but for NZ it's apparently 50. Is QF saying our friends across the pond are a more succint bunch? :p

Why does Qantas' promo get coverage when Virgin does not when it's similar promo has been running longer?
