Western Australia is set to gain two DoubleTree by Hilton hotels – the DoubleTree Perth Waterfront in mid-2016 and the DoubleTree Fremantle in 2017.
In Perth, the new-build hotel adds a total of 241 rooms to the city skyline, with many offering panoramic views of the Swan River:
Creature comforts like an Executive Lounge, a bar, restaurant and business centre are all there, along with a gym, pool and event/convention facilities.
Fremantle sees a slightly smaller hotel on the horizon, with 150 rooms located on the 'Cappuccino Strip' of South Terrace:
Overlooking Princess May Park, guests can enjoy the same amenities as found at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Perth – including the signature warm cookie on arrival – with the exception of an Executive Lounge.
Members of Hilton's HHonors program will be able to earn and redeem HHonors points at these DoubleTree properties, which come in addition to the existing Parmelia Hilton Perth hotel.
Perth is quickly becoming a hotspot for hotel development, with new Starwood Aloft and Ritz-Carlton properties also planned for the capital in the near future.

Good, Australia can use some more of these lower-end big-chain hotels. Some Hilton Garden Inns would be nice.
And a sub-Park Hyatt in Sydney would be nice (though I hear that's already on the cards...)

Good news. Now can Hilton PLEASE referbish that dreadful Parmelia Hilton in Perth? It's the worst Hilton in Australia by a fair margin in my opinion.
