Hilton Garden Inn New York/Times Square Central opens its doors

With an iconic West 42nd Street address, the Hilton Garden Inn New York/Times Square Central hotel has opened its doors amid Sixth Avenue and Broadway in the vibrant city’s theatre district.

The contemporary hotel comes with 282 guestrooms and is surrounded by theatres, restaurants and plenty of shopping to fill out the downtime on your next business trip to the Big Apple.

Guests can enjoy views of Times Square and the New York City skyline from the hotel, which first greets travellers in the property’s fourth-floor lobby.

Upstairs is a choice of king, queen or double beds, while all rooms come with a 50-inch LCD HDTV, plus a fridge, microwave, a laptop-sized safe, a large work desk and an MP3-compatible alarm clock.

In addition to the room’s AC power points, the desk and nightstand lamps also come with USB ports for charging smaller devices such as phones and tablets

All guests also have free hotel-wide wireless internet access plus in-room printing to the hotel’s 24/7 business centre.

Open daily for breakfast is The Garden Grille, while the lobby bar serves up cocktails and light fare.

If you’re arriving late or flying out early, there’s a 24-hour Pavilion Pantry convenience mart on-site: selling snacks, drinks and sundries in the hotel lobby.

The hotel gym is also open at all hours, while business travellers can hire a boardroom for a Times Square meeting:

Steps from Broadway theatres and within walking distance of iconic New York City attractions including Madison Square Garden, Rockefeller Center and Radio City Music Hall, the hotel is also close to all major bus and subway lines.

If you’re flying into or out of Newark Liberty Airport, the property is also a short walk from Penn Station – the Manhattan terminus of NJ Transit’s Newark Airport train.

Members of the Hilton HHonors program can earn and redeem points at this Category 9 hotel, with an overnight stay setting you back between 50,000 and 80,000 HHonors points, depending on both the season and demand.

Guests can also earn a bonus 1,000 HHonors points per night during weekday stays from October 1 2014 through to April 1 2015 when booking any regular points-earning room rate.
