How to fold a suit jacket to avoid wrinkles when travelling
Do you know the trick about folding one of the shoulders of your suit jacket inside the other to avoid wrinkles when packing?
I was surprised to hear that many people I talked to about the trick on Twitter and in meetings didn't know about it, so we're bringing it to you today in our continual quest to improve the packing process.
It's well demonstrated in an illustrated guide to folding suit jackets from the team at bespoke clothiers Black Lapel. They pack a lot of suit jackets, as you might imagine.
I add a further step when adding mine to a suitcase: rolling up a t-shirt, socks or similar in the final half-fold. That stops a crease from developing right down the middle of your jacket.
Then I add a further crease-busting t-shirt when folding my suit trousers, laying them on top of the suit (but with the t-shirt roll on the opposite side to the jacket's t-shirt roll).
Tip of the AusBT hat to the team at Lifehacker for spotting this one!

Click on through to the illustrated guide from Black Lapel -- it's actually easy enough that you don't need the video!

Love the tip about using a rolled up tee to prevent creases! Will definitely put that into action.
Bought a couple of these Eagle Creek "Pack-It Folders" in the US recently and they work a treat for keeping folded business shirts in order and come with a plastic board to fold the shirts https://shop.eaglecreek.com/packit-folder-18/d/1091_c_211
