Hyatt Place São José do Rio Preto opens today

Travellers to Brazil can now check-in to a new Hyatt Place hotel in the burgeoning city of São José do Rio Preto, located just over 400km from Brazil’s most populous city, São Paulo.

The Hyatt Place São José do Rio Preto property is the first Hyatt Place-branded hotel in Brazil, and continues the expansion of the brand in Latin America.

Like other Hyatt Place hotels, there's a focus on amenities for business travellers, as well as consistency in the brand offerings across different regions.

All 152 guestrooms feature the signature Hyatt Grand Bed, a 43-inch HDTV and a ‘cosy corner’ sofa bed.

There’s also free WiFi, public computers with wireless printing throughout the hotel, free breakfast from 'Kitchen Skillet' and a 24-hour gym on-site, including a rooftop swimming pool.

Hyatt Place also offers specialty coffees and premium beers, along with wine and cocktails at the aptly-named ‘Coffee to Cocktails’ bar.

For meetings and events, the Hyatt Place São José do Rio Preto has 370sqm of meeting space, with distinct areas for up 20 people through to a larger zone catering for 85.

If all those amenities sound familiar, it’s because it’s almost exactly the same as what’s offered at the Chicago Hyatt Place, right down to the names of the on-site bar and dining options.

Under Hyatt’s loyalty program (which is being revamped in 2017), the São José do Rio Preto property is a category three hotel.
