Here is Korean Air’s new 787-10 business class
The SkyTeam member reveals its high-privacy and high-tech ‘Prestige Suites 2.0’
Korean Air’s all-new business class class looks set to take wing this month on the airline’s also-new Boeing 787-10, with an upgrade to the Boeing 777s to follow.
Christened as Prestige Suites 2.0, they’re a totally modern take on the South Korean flag-carrier’s original Prestige Suites business class.
Each suite is framed by high walls, while sliding privacy doors transform the suite into a personal cocoon.
And inside that cocoon you’ll find a compartment to keep personal items close at hand, plus a power triple-play of AC, USB-C and wireless charging to ensure your tech stays charged en route.
Other high-tech touches include fast WiFi and a generous 60cm 4K video screen.
Each of the 36 suites are 53cm wide and convert to a fully-flat bed of 1.98-2m length.
Korean Air has opted for a staggered 1-2-1 layout where every second row sees the middle seats set close together in ‘honeymoon mode’, with a divider which can be lowered to allow partners to cuddle above the clouds.
At the time of writing, Korean Air’s schedule lists the inaugural flight of its first 787-10 from Seoul to Tokyo on Tuesday July 23.
As previously reported by Executive Traveller, these 787-10s will however not be fitted with the airline’s new premium economy seats.
Those recliners are now expected to debut as part of a refurbishment of Korean AIr’s long-range Boeing 777s.
Korean Air Chairman and CEO Walter Cho has also indicated the 777s could lose first class in favour of a larger business class cabin.

These seats look like the new seat from Stelia Aerospace 'RENDEZ VOUS'
They made a comment about having an Asian launch customer.
It looks different from what Delta & it's partners (China Eastern, Virgin, LATAM) use.

What a pity they've wasted them in B787s. Now if they were in an A350 or A380, that would be worth flying on ...

@cmpmal
The new seat is their new standard across all widebodies.
The B777-300ER, A350-900, A350-1000, B787-10 will all get it.
There's no news on whether it will be retrofitted on another airplane except the B777-300ER. B787-9 might be the only new next gen aircraft with the old seats.

The A350s are going to be delivered in a later date and the A380s would be retired anyways so I'm just happy that they announced the product and it will be flying just days after the announcement
