Luxury Crown Towers Perth hotel will open in December 2016

The new Crown Towers Perth hotel will welcome its first guests in December 2016, bringing bespoke luxury to the banks of the city’s Swan River.

Design aspects most-noticeable to travellers will include arched corridors, an indoor garden reminiscent of a Roman piazza and bold carpets, and rugs that give a modern nod to the vibrancy of hotels in the 1960s and ‘70s.

Among the property’s 500 rooms, guests can choose between standard and Club-level guestrooms, with Premier Suites and Premier Club Suites also at hand with particularly spacious bathrooms…

… and for the most discerning travellers plus families and larger groups, stunning ‘villas’ span multiple floors, with the lounge area also serving as your private lobby:

Business travellers are well-catered for with the 15th floor Crystal Club lounge, welcoming guests staying in the hotel’s Club-level guestrooms and suites.

That’s where you’ll find a private reception area and terrace lounge, along with a private bar and dining area amidst views out to the river and Perth’s CBD from selected areas:

Back down in the lobby, guests are sure to notice an array of custom-made chandeliers – each weighing-in at three tonnes, comprised of 20 kilometres of ball chain and illuminated by 150 LED lamps:

Wander outside to discover a resort-style pool retreat with cabanas and a cocktail bar surrounding the water and in a design that reflects the hotel’s river surroundings, with infinity edges, mini islands and even palm trees making an appearance for a real Hawaiian look:

If you have time there’ll even be a day spa with separate vitality pools, marble-clad showers, relaxation zones and of course, private treatment rooms in the Crown Towers property which joins the existing, 700-room Crown Perth hotel in the same complex.

Crown has continued its national expansion, opening in Sydney in late 2020.

Looks great and well overdue. Decent 5 start hotels in Perth are a rarity.

There's actually no such thing as a six-star (or seven-star) hotel - it's a marketing term used by advertisers and by some travel writers to convey luxury and such, but not by any official body which issues star ratings.

The Burj Al Arab in Dubai is sometimes described as a seven-star hotel because a journalist once wrote that in a review, but the hotel is actually a five-star hotel, as are all others who claim to be above five.

(In Europe, there's an official rating above five stars which is the same but with an S on the end (so *****S), the S standing for 'superior luxury', but in Australia and most other places, five stars is the max.
