In a new deal between Marriott International and Eastern Crown Hotels Group the pair is planning to open 140 new Fairfield by Marriott hotels across China in the coming years with at least 100 of those welcoming guests by 2021.
A mid-range brand for both business and leisure travellers seeking pleasant yet cost-effective accommodation, Fairfield by Marriott centres on being modern while maintaining its ties to the more traditional Marriott Rewards loyalty program.
Each of China’s new Fairfield hotels will encompass between 100 and 150 rooms which take on warm and earthy tones in recognition of Fairfield Manor House at the Marriott Family Ranch in Virginia, which later inspired the chain.
“Fairfield has quickly gained popularity in Asia since its introduction into the region two years ago,” said Shruti Buckley, Fairfield by Marriott Vice President and Global Brand Manager.
“Guests enjoy the value of this contemporary brand, its intuitive design and great service culture that resonates so well in this part of the world,” Buckley adds.
China’s upcoming Fairfield hotels will join over 750 existing Fairfield properties worldwide and more than 80 Marriott International hotels already in mainland China: spread across 25 Chinese cities including major destinations for Australian travellers including Beijing and Shanghai.
