UPDATE | Qantas passengers can breath a little bit easier this week, with the Transport Workers Union (TWU) calling off strikes scheduled for this Tuesday October 25 and Wednesday October 26.
The union planned industrial action at Brisbane and Melbourne airports on Tuesday, to be followed by similar stoppages at Sydney, Canberra and Cairns airports on Wednesday.

Get ready for – yes, you guessed it – more delays and disruptions and as strikes continue to hit the Red Roo where it hurts.
This time it's the turn of the TWU (Transport Workers Union) which counts core ground staff such as baggage and ramp handlers, caterers and even aircraft cleaners under its wing.
Tuesday October 25 will see 700 TWU members at Brisbane Airport walk off the job for one hour from 7am, with 1,000 of their comrades in Melbourne downing tools from 8am.
On Wednesday October 26 there will be similar stoppages at Sydney Airport for three hours from 7am; at Cairns Airport for one hour, also from 7am; and at Canberra Airport for one hour beginning at 4.30pm.
