New in London: the DoubleTree by Hilton London ExCel hotel

Only a week after opening a new property in London Kensington, DoubleTree by Hilton is forging ahead in opening the new, 260-room DoubleTree by Hilton London ExCel hotel for business travellers.

Located close by to the ExCeL London convention and exhibition centre, guests are well-located for major events and are within walking distance of London City Airport: recently recognised as having one of the world’s most scenic airport approaches in the middle of town.

As with every DoubleTree stay your journey begins with DoubleTree’s signature warmed chocolate chip cookie at check-in, after which you can enjoy British and European cuisine at the simply-named 112-seat ‘DoubleTree Restaurant’, or a cocktail at ‘DoubleTree Lounge Bar’.

You’ll also find two meeting spaces on-site for getting business done with space for over 90 guests, while a gym stands ready for your morning workout.

“Our modern guest rooms offer stunning views of the Royal Victoria Dock and easy accessibility to the city, via London's first cable car,” said the hotel’s General Manager Ashley Cole.

"Situated nearby two of London's largest international conference and entertainment centres, the hotel is a great base for visitors looking to explore London's key attractions,” Cole added.

Members of the Hilton HHonors loyalty program receive free wireless Internet access at this hotel when booking directly with Hilton, while Gold and Diamond guests also receive free breakfast every day and space-available upgrades to nicer rooms.

Always nice to see a brand new hotel (building) in London, at least it will have rooms and bathrooms you can move in, and hopefully something called Air Conditioning.
