Qantas passengers flying from Coffs Harbour can now await their departure in a brand new Qantas Regional Lounge, being 25% larger than the airport’s previous lounge space and with room for up to 40 guests.
The new lounge introduces bright colours to complement the usual ‘natural timber’ look of Qantas' other regional lounges, with a multi-purpose work station, power outlets for recharging smartphones and laptops and a refreshment bar.
It's nothing salubrious but offers travellers a cosy space to relax before their flight.
Speaking of which, the lounge's opening hours have been extended, with passengers now welcome from 90 minutes prior to the first flight of the day until the last evening departure is called for boarding.
(Previously, the old lounge would open just 60 minutes before each QantasLink service, potentially leaving passengers who arrived earlier stuck out in the terminal.)
As you'd expect, there's a workstation bench with AC sockets so you can plug in our laptop or tablet to get some work done...
... plus casual cafe-style seating.
On the door list are Qantas Club members; Qantas Gold, Platinum, Platinum One and Chairman’s Lounge frequent flyers; Oneworld Sapphire and Emerald cardholders; Emirates Gold, Platinum and iO customers and China Eastern’s Gold and Platinum Eastern Miles members.
Qantas flights from Coffs Harbour tend to be economy-only, although lounge access here is also offered to passengers with a same-day international connecting flight in business class or first class with Qantas, Emirates or a Oneworld airline, even though their flight from Coffs Harbour may be in economy.
Single-use Qantas lounge passes such as offered to Qantas Silver frequent flyers and with selected credit cards can also be used for lounge access in Coffs Harbour.

It's cute like Tamworth. These regional lounges are a great concept, something like this would work well in there Jetstar terminal in Sydney

And one in Albury would be great too. Anyone know what the minimum requirements (frequency I guess) would be for QF to consider providing a lounge?

Qantas can do what they want, Qantas has the high powered politicians, and high powered media people in the chairmans pub, so when shit hits the fan all Qantas dose is pull them a side and ask them for hand..
