Crowne Plaza Changi Airport to get all-new Executive Lounge
Changes are afoot at Singapore’s popular and dare we say iconic airport hotel.

Singapore’s Crowne Plaza Changi Airport expects to cut the ribbon on a new Executive Lounge before the middle of 2023, and the space promises to be a solid upgrade compared to the previous and now-closed poolside lounge on level 3.
Sporting a fresh design defined by “nature-influenced” elements, the Crowne Plaza Changi Airport’s new Executive Lounge will take over the Bar '75 space on Level 2, with a 245m2 footprint accommodating up to 80 guests.
A spokesperson for the Crowne Plaza Changi Airport tells Executive Traveller that seating options in the lounge will span “from two and four-top dining tables to lounge seats and communal worktops.”
The new Executive Club is currently slated to open “in early Q2 2023” – and while this lounge is taking shape, the former Executive Lounge “will be converted to 12 pool-access rooms and suites.”
Another substantial change sees the all-day dining Azur restaurant on level 2 replaced by “a dynamic and inspiring multi-function space for elevated meeting, wedding and event experiences.”
Hotel dinners will instead head for level 1, where the current lobby lounge area will undergo “a stunning transformation that showcases a brand-new, best-in-class Italian restaurant: a charming pizzeria on weekdays and a hybrid-buffet concept on weekends.”
This will be complemented by “a new social bar and outdoor terrace for alfresco dining”, the hotel spokesperson says.
As positive as all that sounds, there’s no doubt that one of the Crowne Plaza Changi Airport’s most appealing features will continue to be its ‘runway view’ rooms, although the rooms with a view to Changi’s control tower or The Jewel are also quite unique.

It's a nice hotel in a great location. It could do with some competition though as the prices it charges are extortionate.

Agree totally with reeves35. I stayed quite a lot prior to Covid for early morning flights out. Hotel is fine, rooms are good but its an airport hotel not a destination in any way shape or form. Just like pretty well every airport hotel.
This year tending to stay in the city for a much nicer location. Can grab an early morning run and only a 15 minute taxi ride to Changi.
