Qantas, Airnorth end frequent flyer partnership
From May 2020, you won't be able to earn or spend Qantas Points on flights with Darwin-based Airnorth.
Qantas Frequent Flyer members will no longer be able to earn and spend Qantas Points on Airnorth flights from May 1 2020.
On the ‘earning’ side, Airnorth flights booked on the airline’s regular TL flight numbers and flown from May and beyond will no longer accrue Qantas Points, even if the journey was booked prior to that date.
The final day that Qantas Frequent Flyer members can book an Airnorth flight using their Qantas Points is April 30 2020. Provided the reservation is made on or before that date, the flight itself can take place at a later date, such as in May or beyond.
Airnorth is a regional airline based in Darwin, serving destinations across the Northern Territory, Queensland, Western Australia and Victoria, as well as Dili in East Timor.
Qantas Frequent Flyer members can book Airnorth reward flights via the Qantas website, across the airline’s domestic and international routes:
A one-way flight from Darwin to Dili, East Timor costs 8,000 Qantas Points plus $95.99 in government-imposed taxes, fees and charges (no additional carrier charges apply). Airnorth is an all-economy airline, so business class is not available.
Qantas continues to codeshare on selected Airnorth routes beyond May 2020, giving Qantas Frequent Flyer members the opportunity to continue earning Qantas Points, as well as status credits, when travelling on a QF flight number, however those codeshare flights cannot be reserved when spending Qantas Points.

Was always a strange setup, I fly 10 times a year TSV-DRW you could earn QFF points on a Airnorth ticket and also codeshare, at least now QF flyers on a QF still ticket get something out of it. Reward seats were never available on any flight I ever took, even when the plane only had a handful of pax, not surprised to see it change.
