Six Senses to make its UAE debut at The Palm, Dubai
Some of Dubai’s best resorts are getting a luxurious new neighbour.
Luxury hotel and wellness brand Six Senses is finally set to make its debut in the United Arab Emirates, with the opening of the lush Six Senses The Palm, Dubai in late 2024.
Yes, that’s still a few years off, but this five star property will be worth the wait: it’s shaping up to be a green-filled oasis that’s right at home on Palm Jumeirah’s West Crescent, between the W Dubai The Palm and Jumeirah Zabeel Saray.
Draped along a private stretch of beach, with views to the glittering Dubai skyline beyond, the hotly-anticipated 61-room hotel, and its 162 branded residences for those who like to keep the holiday going year-round, is said to take great inspiration from the coral reefs of the gulf.
Six Senses CEO Neil Jacobs says its foray into Dubai marks a new milestone for the brand.
“From the bottom of the ocean to the signature rooftop bar, our concept celebrates the natural beauty of the Gulf, the solidarity and hospitality between host and visitors, and the journey that Dubai has been on, with its unique Emirati traditions and bubbling optimism for the future,” Jacobs says.
Centered around a vast social and wellness hub, the hotel’s lush gardens will feature naturally shaded areas, mini hills, meandering paths, and intimate courtyards. The main pools and sundecks will also be banked by undulating native planting, which flows down to the private beach.
Inspired by Arabic ‘majlis’, which are traditional areas of the home designed to receive and entertain guests, the hotel will feature an array of cultural and social spaces such as bars, restaurants, a pool, kids’ club, games room, library, function rooms, and meeting rooms.
For those craving a little ‘me time’, the wellness hub will be your first port of call, with the space featuring a longevity clinic, IV lounge, biohacking room, hydrotherapy circuit pool, squash court, working spaces, and, of course, the famous Six Senses Spa.
The Palm’s residential offering will comprise 162 branded residences including 121 penthouses and 32 Sky Villas. There are also nine five-bedroom beachfront Signature Villas, each offering a garden, infinity pool, and palm-framed views to the beach.
Along with the landscaped green areas, residents will have access to the hotel’s facilities and full use of various leisure, sports, business, and recreational facilities such as a micro farm, tennis courts, padel courts, and dedicated running tracks.
Six Senses’ glamorous stable includes 19 hotels and restaurants and 27 spas across 19 countries, with Six Senses Zighy Bay beach resort in Oman, the tropical Six Senses Fiji on Malolo Island, and the cliffside Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali just a few of its high-end hideaways.
Part of the IHG Hotels & Resorts family, guests booking to stay at Six Senses The Palm, Dubai will be able to enjoy IHG Rewards program benefits, including reward nights and points.
