Business travellers flying to Hong Kong with Cathay Pacific now have access to a new members lounge, The Cabin.
The Cabin is situated by Gate 23 at the centre of Hong Kong airport. Cathay Pacific now have four departure lounges at their HK hub.
The lounge will be accessible to first and business class passengers, oneworld members with Sapphire membership and above, as well as silver and above members of Cathay Pacific's Marco Polo Club.
The design of The Cabin has been created by London-based architectural firm Foster + Partners. This includes the unique Cathay Solus Chair (pictured). The chair is designed to provide a comfortable environment to eat, relax and work. With a wide, comfortable seat, each chair has its own power outlet and table.
The Cabin is open from 5:30am until the last departure, and consists of several discrete zones.
- The IT Zone: High speed Wi-Fi internet, eleven PCs (each located in an individual workspace), six iMacs and a video conference suite are all available for use. In what may be the beginning of a new trend, twenty Wi-Fi enabled iPads are also available, pre-loaded with a range of newspaper, magazine and game apps.
- The Deli: Made-to-order sandwiches, fresh antipasti and salads are on offer. A self-service buffet is also available.
- The Health Bar: Similar to the Long Bar at The Wing and The Pier lounges but with a selection of fresh juices and hot or cold herbal teas. Don?t let the title fool you, as a wide selection of alcoholic and soft drinks are also on offer.
- The Relaxing Zone: A variety of premium lounge seating is available, with either airport views or more private alcoves.
