Qantas starts Brisbane-Perth Airbus A330 Business Suite flights
Qantas says it will roster its latest upgraded Airbus A330 jet onto the Brisbane-Perth route from today, although the airline has yet to advise which flights will carry the airline's all-new Business Suite business class seat.
Exclusive AusBT review: The Qantas Airbus A330 Business Suite
It's the fifth out of a total of 28 A330s undergoing a refit at Qantas' Brisbane maintenance facility.
Two domestic A330-200 versions are mostly seen on the evening Sydney-Perth and Melbourne-Perth services and their red-eye return to the east coast capitals.
A pair of larger A330-300s spend most of their time on the Sydney-Singapore and Melbourne-Singapore routes, along with some Brisbane-Singapore runs, while also spreading their wings to Hong Kong.
A spokesperson for Qantas told Australian Business Traveller that “by the end of 2015 we will have 15 refurbished A330s in service,” with that line-up split between eight domestic jets and seven international models.
The make-over of Qantas' entire A330 fleet is due for completion by the end of 2016.

NOTE TO QANTAS
The sooner they start stating which A330 has which seating as your booking it the sooner they will start to fill them!

Until there are a great number of refurb A330's, there can always be a plane swap... particulary when ithe booking is a while away.
Plan for the worst and hope for the best.

Great news for Brisbane FFs, hope they also roll out to Adelaide, and maybe sooner on Honolulu & Auckland routes!

Adelaide does not get any A330 flight nor does Auckland unless there is a special event on (Last time I can was Rugby World Cup in AKL)

I know but it would be a great improvement over the 737s while airlines like AirNZ and EK use some of their international grade planes.

Of the places you mentioned, Honolulu is the only destination that will get the upgraded A330. The -200 variant anyway... and I'm sure it won't be one of the top destinations to get one. It wasn't that long ago that 767's flew that route.

I don't think Air NZ use anything bigger then a A320 in Adelaide and EK uses a 777 but thats cause the flight has to go over 10 hours to get back home
