Qatar Airways’ fast-track status match
Get global travel perks including worldwide lounge access with just one flight!
Looking for a fast-track to top frequent flyers status with not only Qatar Airways but the entire Oneworld group?
If your wallet or purse contains an Accor ALL membership card, you might be in luck.
Under a partnership between Qatar Airways and the Accor hotel group, members of the Accor ALL loyalty program can match their ALL status with a fast-track to QR’s Privilege Club Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers by making just one Qatar Airways flight.
That flight doesn’t even need to be in business class – even a short economy hop will do the trick – as long your ticket is paid, rather than being a points-based redemption.
Accor ALL Gold qualifies you for Qatar Airways Privilege Club Silver, which in turn lines up against Oneworld Ruby and, to be honest, has little to offer in the way of substantial travel benefits apart from a boosted luggage allowance.
Accor ALL Platinum qualifies you for Qatar Airways Privilege Club Gold, which equates to Oneworld Sapphire.
It’s here that the perks begin to pile up, starting of course with access to selected Qatar Airways lounges (including the airline’s own frequent flyer lounges in Doha and London) plus business class lounges right across the Oneworld alliance.
Accor ALL Diamond qualifies you for Qatar Airways Privilege Club Platinum, which equates to Oneworld Emerald and unlocks first access to he first class lounges of most Oneworld airlines (as well as Qatar Airways’ lavish Al Safwa First Lounge at Doha if you’re flying in QR business class).
As a bonus, Qatar Airways Privilege Club Gold and Platinum also deliver reciprocal perks with Virgin Australia’s Velocity program such as access to Virgin’s domestic lounges.
There are other upsides to the airline & hotel partnership as well, such as earning up to 1 Avios for every €1 spent on stays at participating Accor hotels.
However, there’s a limit as to how many Privilege Club status fast-tracks are handed out to Accor ALL members; this is reported to be numbers in the low thousands for Privilege Club Gold, and the hundreds for Privilege Club Platinums.
