Quest apartment hotels offer new studios in Sydney, Melbourne
Business travellers love apartment hotels -- there's just something about the extra flexibility of having a bit more space and the facilities to fix your own dinner.
Apartment hotel chain Quest is now offering smaller one-room studios focussing on the connected business traveller in its new Quest Studios properties in Melbourne and Sydney.
Quest Chairman Paul Constantinou explains the logic: "Whilst most of our guests still prefer an apartment with a separate bedroom and living area, we wanted to provide a dedicated offering to those who would rather stay in a hotel-style room – but who don’t want to sacrifice all of the other apartment facilities."
Those other facilities will include free wifi -- a real benefit in Australia's "rort you for the Internet" hotel culture -- plus an iPod/iPad dock and multi-device charger.
Quest's trademark pantry shopping (where they'll go shopping and pre-load your fridge with anything you want), local restaurant chargeback and laundry facilities are also available.
The first five Quest Studios are at Bondi Junction in Sydney, and in Melbourne at Brighton, East Melbourne, Kew and Hawthorn. The sixth, at Frankston, will open in early 2013.
