The Sofitel Beijing Central is now open for business, marking Accor's 1100th hotel in the Asia-Pacific region.
Located in the heart of Beijing's bustling civic and diplomatic area, the luxury property provides easy access to nearby attractions such as Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the National Museum of China, with Jianguomen subway station a 10-minute walk away.
The Sofitel Beijing Central features 345 spacious guestrooms and suites. Sofitel Club rooms come with a generous circular bathtub and also provide access to the new Club Millésime Lounge, which is opening towards the end of 2019.
There are three eateries onsite – The Dining Room serves up international cuisine with a French twist all day long, Yan is a signature Chinese restaurant and The Lounge hosts afternoon tea and evening cocktails.
Functions and meetings can be held in nine flexible meeting spaces, which have more than 1,500 sqm of floor space between them. Guests can always enjoy the hotel's indoor pool, fitness centre and day spa.
The Sofitel Beijing Central is naturally part of the AccorHotel's Le Club loyalty scheme (soon to be renamed ALL), meaning points can be earned and redeemed for stays.
Elite status members will be able to utilise their perks, including space-available room upgrades and late check-outs. Platinum members will have access to the Club Millésime Lounge with any room type, when the space finally opens.
The Accor group has been expanding rapidly, having opened its 1000th hotel in Asia Pacific just six months ago. On average, there's a new Accor hotel opening every 36 hours globally, and every three days within Asia Pacific. The Sofitel Beijing Central is the brand's 23rd hotel in China.
