A penthouse bar, 'first class' and 'business class' guest rooms, a rooftop view of arriving and departing flights at nearby Sydney Airport, and even meeting rooms named Airbus and Boeing – Sydney's new Felix Hotel might just become the new hot spot for business travellers.
Located at 121 Baxter Road Mascot, the Felix Hotel is a few minutes' drive from Sydney Airport's domestic terminals and 10 minutes from the international terminal.
Due to open in early 2018, the aesthetic of the Felix Hotel will also play a 1960s retro-chic card to conjure up the 'golden era of air travel' despite its modern urban design.
The boutique hotel's 150 rooms are categorised into first class, business, premium economy and economy.
Travellers check in on the top floor, which doubles as a cocktail bar...
... while the rooftop includes an "outdoor cinema" for those less interesting in the airport view. Other mod cons include workspaces for groups or guests flying solo, a 24 hour fitness centre and a self-service laundry open around the clock.

Presumably they will run shuttles between the airport and the hotel.

It's 1.1 kilometres from Mascot railway station, which (for journeys to and from CBD and elsewhere (apart from Domestic and International railway stations) avoids the rail airport surcharge on one's Opal card. 1.1 kilometres is an easy walk even with a backpack and a wheeled suitcase.
