Amenity bags are a favourite souvenir of travellers the world over.
Whether they were handed to you in business or first class, or scooped up from one of those cabins as you made your way off the plane from your economy seat, these bags can serve as a compact toiletries kit or a 'gadget bag' to stow your smartphone cable, USB memory keys and other digital doodads.
And of course, there's an annual awards ceremony to recognise the most stylish amenity bags.
The Airline Amenity Bag Awards doesn't judge the contents of these bags, however – just the bags themselves.
But when the bags carry luxe brand names such as Salvatore Ferragamo, Bvlgari and Loewe, who wouldn't want to pocket one even if it was empty?
Here are some of the amenity bag champions from this year's Airline Amenity Bag Awards.
Best Female First Class Bag: Singapore Airlines
Best Male First Class Bag: Oman Airlines
Best Unisex First Class Bag: Garuda Indonesia
Best Unisex Business Class Bag (Asia-Oceania): Garuda Indonesia
Best Female Business Class Bag (Middle East): Emirates
Best Male Business Class Bag (Middle East): Emirates
Best Female Business Class Bag (Europe-Africa): Alitalia
Best Male Business Class Bag (Europe-Africa): Alitalia
Best Unisex Business Class Bag (Europe-Africa): Aeroflot
A special nod for the best 'ethically sustainable' bag went to Etihad Airways for its recently-launched range created with Sougha, a social enterprise initiative which aims to preserve Emirati traditions and promote local artisans.

Florence Broadhurst for Qantas.
Seriously, those bags are well sized, beautiful and extremely useful beyond the life of a single flight. Better than anything you can buy from Country Road, Jack Spade, Muji...

I rate the TG F Tumi bag very highly as well, great sturdy pouch, from judging at the pic I would say it beats the WY offering.
