Top 5 ways to watch the latest TV news live on the Internet
Want to catch the latest TV news while you're on the road? As long as you've got a fast and stable internet connection, it's easy.
Here are five good TV news channels with live streaming video which you can watch online.
1. Watch ABC News 24 live online
ABC News 24 is available to watch online, free of charge. However, it's restricted to Australian internet connections – if you're overseas you'll find the service is blocked. To work around this, follow our guide: How to watch Australian TV from anywhere in the world.
2. Watch BBC World live online
You can watch BBC World for free and without any geoblocking issues via the Livestation website.
3. Watch Al Jazeera live online
Al Jazeera's live English news service can be watched free of charge online, from anywhere in the world.
4. Watch NHK World live online
Japanese TV station NHK has been a leader in reporting the Japanese earthquake aftermath, with English language narration. You can watch it free of charge via Livestation.
5. Watch CNN live online
If you are in the US, you can watch CNN International live online for five minutes free of charge, but then it'll cost you US$4.99 per month to keep watching.
CNN is blocked in certain countries, including Australia. You can work around this by following the instructions in our guide: How to watch Australian TV from anywhere in the world (however, while following the instructions, you need to connect to a US server in step 4, rather than an Australian one.)
Bonus: Catch ABC news recaps online
If you want to catch the latest TV news from ABC in a concise format, you can watch "ABC News in 90 seconds" - a potted presentation of the news.
If you've got any other favourite online news services, feel free to share them in the Comments box below.

Of course ... spending a small fortune just to CONNECT to the Internet from the hotel or cafe (in AU, anyway) puts a bit of a dampener on streaming TV. I just load-up a TV series, or Podcasts (try the back catalogue of Q&A, Media Watch and other ABC goodness) before I go away (and then usually find I don't have time to watch them anyway!)
