United Airlines reveals new United Club at LAX Terminal 7
This week's big lounge news will be the debut of United Airlines' first Polaris business class lounge at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport – but that doesn't mean the rolling upgrade of the United Club lounges has fallen by the wayside.
As if to prove that point, United this week cut the ribbon on a new United Club lounge at LAX Terminal 7.
At a sprawling 20,000 square feet (1,860m2) it's among the largest in United's network, and the location atop T7 affords sweeping views from the lounge as well as the outdoor terrace.
There's a "gourmet kitchen" and bar plus dedicated seating areas for catching up on your work before the flight.
Sadly, there are still no showers – those will be exclusive to the Polaris international business class lounge, which will be built in the space currently occupied by the current LAX T7 first class lounge.
The rest of United's T7 home is also getting a make-over with a new lobby, baggage claim and security screening, all of which which will be welcome news for passengers on United's daily Sydney-Los Angeles and Melbourne-Los Angeles flights
The new LAX United Club will open to travellers on December 6, 2016.
