Assuming the updated application is correct, then I'd assume so. But as stated, one of the few differences is that VA will no longer put their code on SIN-Europe/UK flights (instead putting their code on the QR services to Europe/UK), which probably doesn't affect too much people.

Not if you're flying VA (and VA is not a Star Alliance member). IIRC NZ only allows VA members if they're flying on a QR/VA codeshare flight (operated by QR) under a third party arrangement with QR.

MH had just removed their BNE schedules from the GDS as per Aeroroutes. It was initially 727 seats (4x 737-8 MAX) before it was changed to x5 weekly A330-300ceo before it was recently removed.

The unilateral VA/NZ partnership is still subject to clearance from the NZCC. ACCC already gave it the all clear.
