There is some news out there showing MH has announced restarting flights out of BNE starting March next year. ET-You got any on this please? It would be great to have them back, or TG out of BNE.

Kuala Lumpur to Brisbane: MH135, 19:40-05:45+1 (Fri, Wed); 20:10-06:15+1 (Mon, Thu, Sat)
Brisbane to Kuala Lumpur: MH134, 07:00-13:10 (Thu, Thu, Sat); 07:50-14:00 (Fri, Sun)
Always great to see another OneWorld option out of Brisbane, especially as Qantas continues to lag behind. Still no Qantas flight back to Hong Kong for example.
That would be awesome if Malaysia returned to BNE. Another option for jetting off to SE Asia and connections beyond. Of the Big Three SE Asian carriers, I've found Singapore and Malaysia to be better quality and more dependable than Thai. SQ was always my choice for onward flights to London. But since using Malaysia I've found it to be a great alternative at a good price.

To be fair to QF, they are short of aircraft and HK demand is still way, way below where it was in 2018-2019 before the triple whammy of mass civil unrest/Covid/economic slowdown. You can still get your OW on CX, who have just increased service.

You get half the status credits on CX between BNE-HKG!
Atleast, when QF was flying there, you could choose...., it seems illogical to be given half the status credits on a sector QF does not even fly.
We've of course seen those reports of Malaysia Airlines making a welcome return to Brisbane, but as yet the flights are not confirmed and they have not yet (at the time of writing) appeared on the MH website for booking. Once this all becomes official, we'll have an update to share on the home page.
MH had just removed their BNE schedules from the GDS as per Aeroroutes. It was initially 727 seats (4x 737-8 MAX) before it was changed to x5 weekly A330-300ceo before it was recently removed.
Thanks for sharing that update, DanV – and that's why we are cautious on areas like this. While AeroRoutes' GDS listings prove accurate most of the time, there are enough past examples of flights which do not go ahead for us to tread with caution and prefer to wait until things are official.
