Some airlines are more generous than others when it comes to making last-minute first class award seats available, with one airline saving them until just 15 days before departure.
First class awards on Korean Air are incredibly easy to find, although the same can’t be said of Singapore Airlines.
On home soil, Qantas generally keeps first class awards rather scarce come departure day, although award seats can randomly appear if another traveller cancels their booked-in-advance seat at the pointy end.
