Hi All, Flying premium economy to LAX return on the qantas Dreamliner, just interested if anyone's flown this yet and what they thought.

And by the way, I fly late January for business on my own and can only get a middle seat in the middle row, not off to a great start!

I haven’t flown in it but went and had a sit before my 787 flight in J a few weeks ago. It was comfortable and supportive but I did think that long haul would really require the bulkhead row for proper comfort. Having said that, it’s a step up from Y in a big way it’s just that, as is the intention, it’s economy plus not business minus.

Did you look at the seat map before you bought your ticket? If your seat preference is important I'd have suggested doing that as you could have found that a day or two either side of your preferred day of travel would have allowed you to select the seat you'd prefer.

We'll have a full review of the inflight experience on Monday from Chris Chamberlin, who volunteered to take one for the team by swapping 2 x business class legs on the Melbourne-Los Angeles Boeing 787 inaugural for 1 x business class leg and 1 x premium economy leg!

Booked by my companies internal travel department. Not a big drama, just first world problem of a business traveler.

Yeah I've read that, but just wanted feedback from someone who's used it. Sounds like Chris will be doing a review so look forward to it.

Please let us know then whether getting out of your middle seat when the seats in front of you were fully reclined was easy or challenging.

Judging from the pictures that were released so far, the gap between the fixed armrest and the hard shell of front seat when fully reclined looks extremely narrow (10..15cm).

Would be interesting to know
