DoubleTree by Hilton Perth: Northbridge hotel opening in 2017

Hilton will boost its Perth presence to four hotels come 2017 with the opening of a new DoubleTree by Hilton Perth: Northbridge property in the city’s inner suburb of the same name.

The 205-room property will be less than 1km from Perth’s CBD, residing at 100 James Street in Northbridge, and will offer guests a gym and outdoor pool, a business centre, 400m² of event space and a restaurant and bar:

In the privacy of their rooms, travellers will also find LCD TVs, adequate space for working on a laptop, wireless Internet and modern furnishings after collecting their free chocolate chip cookie when checking-in:

“There is no doubt that Perth has seen a recent transformation,” said Hilton Worldwide Australasia Vice President Paul Hutton. At the heart of this, Northbridge is a vibrant suburb where arts, culture and entertainment come together.”

Hilton HHonors members will be able to earn and redeem points at the Northbridge property, as they already can at the existing Parmelia Hilton Perth hotel and soon too at the DoubleTree Perth Waterfront and Freemantle hotels: also under construction.

Sorry to mention, but this area where the hotel will be based, either facing James street to the street behind have multipul indoor and outdoor venues which are regular weekend hotspots for night clubbing and drunks.... wonder how appealing this hotel will be over the weekends... and how sound proof too?

Admittedly there is nothing posh about Northbridge but on the same token it's no Kings Cross either.

The Brass Monkey is a dive, however you have to walk a few blocks to arrive at the next drinking establishment more discerning individuals would avoid.

Northbridge isn't as disgusting as rowdy as it was years ago and has gone through a makeover of sorts with an increase in hipster bars, etc, so good on DT for contributing to progression.
