Emirates resumes Brisbane-Singapore-Dubai flights

Emirates will again fly between Brisbane and Singapore from October 1 2016, giving Queenslanders a third choice to Qantas and Singapore Airlines on journeys to the Lion City.

Using a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, business class passengers will find angled-flat beds in a 2-3-2 layout, while those in the comfort of first class can relax in one of eight private suites:

The Singapore leg was suspended in May 2016 when Emirates temporarily switched EK432/433 to a direct Brisbane-Dubai return service, allowing important runway construction works to take place at Brisbane Airport.

Now with the Singapore stop returned, Emirates flight EK433 will depart Brisbane at 2:30am, reaching Changi Airport at 8:15am. The flight then continues to Dubai at 9:40am before landing at 12:55pm local time the same day.

On the return, EK432 is wheels-up at 2:45am in Dubai to touch down in Singapore at 2:05pm, before departing again at 3:35pm and landing in Brisbane once more at 12:45am the following morning.

The Gulf carrier and Qantas partner continues to offer a separate daily non-stop flight between Brisbane and Dubai using its Airbus A380 aircraft (EK434/435), fitted with the airline's newest fully-flat beds in business class, shower suites in first class and sky-high bar and lounge shared between passengers of both cabins.

Emirates will also begin flying the Airbus A380 on the Sydney-Christchurch route from October 31, as well as beginning a non-stop Dubai-Auckland superjumbo service.

How could viewers down vote an upgrade from B777 to A380, doesn't make any sense. Especially considering all the bad news of how cramped a 777 is in y and the sloped sleepers and three abreast in J etc. Some people very hard to please.

SGB, it might be more a reflection that some may consider your comment off-topic. Or, just some jealous Brisbanites who wanted a second A380 to replace the Boeing 777 service.

It could be hardly off topic, that very topic was exclusive to the last paragraph of the above reported story. The latter jealous Brisbanites seem more credible.

There is talk that this flight will be an A380 service in the relatively near future.

There's indeed been talk of that for a while, Wezza, and Emirates has already filed an A380 plan for this route with Brisbane Airport: an action with an Emirates spokesperson told AusBT doesn't necessarily indicate a superjumbo just over the horizon, saying "Emirates continually evaluates the potential to deploy our flagship A380 aircraft to more of our destinations. In some instances this selection process involves filing applications with the relevant authorities as part of the planning stages to determine whether or not we may be able to deploy A380 aircraft to various airports worldwide."
