Etihad: new first class, business & arrival lounges for Abu Dhabi
Etihad Airways will open three new lounges at Abu Dhabi International Airport over the coming months, including a new first class lounge and an arrivals lounge, and also unveil a new design concept for its forthcoming lounges at Los Angeles and New York.
First up will be the new business class lounge, says Etihad Airways President and CEO James Hogan.
"The new business class lounge is about to open and it will take 500 guests" Hogan told Australian Business Traveller at the opening of the airline's newest lounge at Sydney Airport.
The airline's current first class and business class lounges in T3 will then be combined into a single footprint boasting a range of premium services where "you can get your suits pressed, you can get your hair done, you can have a shave," Hogan said.
A new arrivals lounge at Abu Dhabi will open in July for Etihad's inbound passengers, Hogan added, with welcome touches such as clothes pressing and 'a wet shave' for the weary business traveller.

Hogan also has something different planned for Etihad's new lounges as New York and LAX.
"With the lounges at Los Angeles and New York, we are going to evolve into more of a boutique design where we look at the city we're flying into and try to match that city" Hogan revealed.
