Etihad Airways is now offering a 'meet and greet' service for travellers arriving at Abu Dhabi on Etihad Airways flights.
The paid service can be booked up to 48 hours before travel and is designed to streamline passage through Abu Dhabi immigration and customs.
For US$38 the Silver Package includes a personal welcome on arrival with one staff member for every one to five guests, immigration fast track and assistance with baggage collection.
The US$65 Gold Package upgrades the Silver Package to offer one staff member for every guest as well as a free personal porter to collect and transport baggage through the airport to curbside.
"We are always looking at ways to make flying with Etihad Airways easier and more enjoyable" says Peter Baumgartner, Etihad Airways’ Chief Commercial Officer.
"Being met by a friendly face and helped with luggage and guided through immigration and customs makes the process a breeze."
For more information or to book the new service, email [email protected] or visit etihad.com/meetandgreet.

This sort of service is usually offered to ONLY the most senior executives (who decide with who the corporate travel budget will be spent) and two star and above military officers, so I say good on Etihad for giving everyone access to such a service. The cost is very reasonable, and anything that streamlines customs and immigration is a winner in my book!
