How to convert Aquire points into Qantas frequent flyer points
If you took advantage of the latest Aquire promotion offering businesses up to 20,000 bonus Aquire Points, don’t twiddle your thumbs: they can become valuable Qantas frequent flyer points today.
Whether you’re looking to book a free trip for yourself, upgrade your employees from economy to business class or reward your best client, here’s how to convert your Aquire Points into Qantas Points.
Transferring Aquire Points: the basics
Aquire Points ship across to Qantas Frequent Flyer on a 1:1 basis – so 20,000 Aquire Points become 20,000 Qantas Points, and so on.
You’ll need to convert at least 3,000 Aquire Points at a time, although if you want to split that cool 20,000 between two people, you can do two separate transfers at 10k points a pop.
Exchanging Aquire Points for Qantas Points is easy, fast and costs nothing.
However, bear in mind that your Aquire balance is divided into two categories.
Any points earned on the ground – such as the bonus points from the Aquire promotion, plus what you pocket with Aquire’s non-airline partners such as Staples, Secure Parking and Thrifty – appear as ‘Aquire Points’ and can be converted into Qantas Points without a fuss.
Points earned from eligible flights taken with Qantas, Emirates and American Airlines instead arrive as ‘pending Aquire Points’: a separate running balance.
Here's an example of how this looks on your Aquire page.
This user has 3,183 Aquire Points in the kitty that can be converted to Qantas Points at any time, along with 15,680 pending Aquire Points.
Those pending Aquire Points which have been earned from flights can't be transferred to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account until
1. at least two of your staff have flown with your ABN listed against their booking, and
2. the business has picked up at least 20,000 Aquire Points in the air.
Once you tick over at least 20,000 ‘pending Aquire Points’ in a single membership year, they become regular ‘Aquire Points’ that can transferred over to Qantas Frequent Flyer.
Converting Aquire Points into Qantas Points
Whether you’re moving across 3,000 or 23,000 Aquire Points, here’s how it’s done.
First, head to the Aquire website, log into your business account and select the ‘Convert Aquire Points’ option on the left-hand side.
If you’ve already linked your own Qantas Frequent Flyer number to the Aquire account, you can select it from the drop-down list at the top…
… otherwise, enter the name and Frequent Flyer details of the recipient…
… and then how many Aquire Points you’d like to convert, remembering that one Aquire Point = one Qantas Point.
They’ll be received instantaneously, and can then be redeemed as desired by the Qantas Frequent Flyer member for flights, upgrades to business class, or something as simple as a new microwave for the lunch room.
Whatever you choose, duck over to the Aquire website to convert your Aquire Points into Qantas Points today.

I've signed up and earned points from Staples before Nov 16. Do you know how long will it take for the 20000 bonus points to arrive?

Mine took two days less than two calendar months. Bought something in October and posted in December! I seem to remember the eight week period was mentioned under the terms of the promotion.
