Starwood continues to expand its South Australian footprint with the opening of the Sheraton Adelaide hotel in mid-2019 to follow the new Aloft Adelaide hotel one year earlier.
Built as part of a mixed use development comprising residential apartments, office and retail space, the O’Connell Street property will feature 160 guestrooms in North Adelaide, which Google Maps estimates is a nine-minute drive or a 33-minute walk from the very centre of the CBD:
Featuring two dining venues, an indoor swimming pool and a gymnasium, travellers visiting on business can also make use of meeting rooms or can attend functions in a 300-square-metre ballroom, with the chain describing the property as “upper upscale”.
Members of the Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) loyalty program will be able to earn and redeem Starpoints at the hotel, as they will at the new Westin Perth from 2017 and the Westin and W Brisbane hotels from 2018.
