Qantas Singapore business lounge now open for breakfast
Oneworld members and travellers on partner airlines have a new home for morning flights, though only on select days.
Singapore’s Changi T1 is home to some exceptional Oneworld lounges. Among them, Qatar Airways’ premium lounge, in addition to the luxe Qantas first and international business lounges. The latter just got a lot more convenient.
In good news for morning departures, the Qantas business lounge – well-placed for the C gates – now unlocks its doors for a leisurely breakfast on select days at 7:50am, before closing for a few hours and reopening at 2:45pm.
The revised opening hours are now as follows:
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday: 2.45pm to 1am
- Tuesday and Sunday: 7.50am to 10am and 2.45pm to 1am
- Thursday: 7.50am to 1am
Thursday is a notable outlier, with the lounge remaining open all day long.
Qantas says the adjusted hours have been implemented to accomodate Air France and Fiji Airways, both of which use the Qantas Business lounge ahead of their flights from Singapore Changi T1 – these being the daily AF181 morning flight to Paris, and the early afternoon FJ362 to Nadi on Thursdays.
Of course, it’s also useful for other Qantas partners, such as Malaysia Airlines flights departing from T2, which lacks decent lounge options. Frequent flyers on Qatar Airways or Emirates are welcome too (if only for a change of scenery from their own lounges).
Within, visitors will find a well-stocked buffet dominating the main area, together with an open kitchen offering a rotating choice of two freshly-prepared dishes with Asian flair.
That’s complemented by a large tended bar and a score of showers, if you’ve the time and the lounge isn’t too busy.
