Freshly-minted oneworld member Qatar Airways is sharpening its pitch to the private jet set with the addition of a new ultra long-range tourer to its Qatar Executive corporate fleet.
The Bombardier Global 5000 Vision can whisk up to 10 well-heeled passengers from Qatar's home port of Doha to London or Singapore.
The forward cabin seats eight passengers in plush leather armchairs, with a conference table for doing business or playing poker en route.
The rear cabin has two single seats, a private lavatory and a three person divan which can be transformed to a double bed.
The interior decor is thankfully restrained with warm earthy tones, creamy beige seating and medium chestnut wood instead of shiny airborne bling.
Each seat gets its own iPod wired up to control cabin features such as cooling, mood lighting and the sound system, while each cabin has a large HD TV screen and Blu-Ray player. Naturally, there's also satellite Internet just one click away.
"Our new Bombardier Global 5000 Vision perfectly matches the requirements of the global travelling elite, who are looking for maximum travel flexibility and refined tailor-made service" said Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer Akbar Al Baker.
"With its extended range, the jet delivers our customers to their final destination faster than any other aircraft in this class while they enjoy the perks which come along with travelling on a state-of-the-art executive jet”.
