Singapore's Changi Airport is making its free airport-wide wireless Internet access even easier to enjoy.
Under the current long-standing arrangement, travellers need to call at one of the airport's information desks and show their passport to receive a login code for the 'Wireless@SG' network.
However, a new service being tested at the terminals removes that onerous step to a simple click-and-go process.
Look for the new '#WiFi@Changi' wireless network on your laptop, tablet or smartphone.
Connect to this instead of Wireless@SG and you're now just one click away from being online.
When Australian Business Traveller trialled the service on a recent visit to Changi we noted the coverage didn't blanket the terminals – for example, it currently drops out at the far end of T2 if you're on the upstairs level, near the transit hotel and cinema.

This is great! I usually don't bother with the Wireless@SG one as its usually not worthwhile as I just head to a lounge for wifi. Perfect accompaniment to their iOS app!

Nice, let's hope they will offer this hassle free wifi throughoout the city. Any info on the performance of the network?
@JBH: QF lounge has free internet itself, no need to pick up Wireless@SG (unless it reaches much better down / upload speeds)

but changhi has had free internet for awhile, so kudos for that. considering at heathrow, its still user pay, and they charge in 24 hour blocks, so even if you need 15minutes, you pay for 24 hours.
and same with JFK and most australian airports as well. except, adelaide and darwin where internode provides free wifi with a T&C form.
