Virgin Australia will release a BlackBerry version of its Flight Specials App next week, following the success of its iPhone and Android apps.
A Virgin Australia spokesman confirmed to Australian Business Traveller that the new app is scheduled to appear in the BlackBerry World app store on Monday March 25th.
We've had a quick hands-on session with the app, running on the slick new BlackBerry Z10 smartphone, and it packs the same core functionality as its siblings.
Foremost is the ability to snare the best airfare for your next Virgin Australia flight, including international flights with partner airlines such as Air New Zealand, Etihad, Delta and Singapore Airlines.
You can also check the status of your flight...
... and of course, check in for your flight en route to the airport (or anywhere else you happen to be).

Blackberry seems to have a pretty good product. Their only problem at the moment is their app selection. They have most of the critical stuff but some of the big names are missing. Personally i can't wait to get my hands on one. Anybody else going for one?

Long-time Blackberry user here, but 'jumped ship' when I left my last employer and had to choose between signing up for my own Blackberry or moving to Android. Chose Android (Samsung Galaxy S3), much better than anything Blackberry had at the time and also much better for roaming, as the BB is not roaming-friendly. The new Z10 looks great and if it was available a year ago I'd have bought it instead of the Samsung, but it's too late now for me and maybe too late for Blackberry?
