British Airways is upgrading its Club Europe business class meals
British Airways is rolling out new meals for its Club Europe business class service as the flag-carrier continues to sharpen its appeal to premium passengers.
September 12 2018 will see the introduction of dishes built around cornerstone 'best of British' ingredients.
At launch, the menu will feature shaved Herefordshire roast beef on a tartar cream with rocket, British Reared Pork sausage and mash and a 'celebration of British cheeses'.
A pepped-up breakfast menu will help business travellers kick-start the day...
... with a refreshed selection of light bites...
... and healthy yoghurts.
A new vegetarian café sandwich selection called ‘Life On The Veg’ will also debut as part of the revised menu.
On what BA describes as its "longer short-haul flights to destinations such as Faro," Club Europe passengers will be offered the choice of two hot options and one cold dish.
BA is also revamping its Club Europe drinks cart with the promise of new wines served in quarter bottles and coffee provided by British speciality roaster Union Hand-Roasted.
Menus on flights to and from Heathrow will also be changed every fortnight, compared to the current monthly rotation, and include more seasonal dishes featuring produce from around the British Isles.
"Many of our fliers travel regularly so we think they’ll appreciate more variety and great quality ingredients," reasons Carolina Martinoli, British Airways’ Director of Brand and Customer Experience.
"Our new long-haul Club World menus are proving incredibly popular and we want to be able to replicate that quality and choice in our short haul Club Europe cabin too.
BA has already ploughed a significant portion of an earmarked £4.5bn (A$8bn) spend into improved meals on international business class flights...
... a wider selection of Champagnes and local English 'sparkling wines' in lounges and above the clouds...
... new bedding as part of its 'sleep service'...
... plus adding WiFi to its fleet and refreshing its Club World business class.
Of course, what everyone is waiting for is the reveal of British Airways' all-new Club World business class seat, which is expected to be revealed towards the end of this year or early 2019 ahead of the launch of BA's first Airbus A350 jets.

Looking forward to see what they can come up. Like Qantas their A380 business class is very in need of a hard product upgrade.
