Qatar will be live streaming on Facebook the unveiling of their new business. the stream has already started and been going for 7 minutes, with the product coming "shortly"

Not sure Qantas will be happy with them naming it the 'Q' Suite!

Facebook live was very slow for 2.1k viewers. I've saw the product, it's closed door, patented and (not sure) double bed like SQ A380 Suites and MU F on their 77W.

The product is pretty similar to the Etihad Business Studio. The layout is effectively the same. The only difference is more flexible privacy screens and the added door.

Its a cool product though.

Do we have a seat width yet? I'm currently watching the press conference. It certainly looks a good product!

Whilst it looks great, I think the ME3 really miss the primary point of business class in having a bigger seat. This looks like a continuation of this trend. They are very good at throwing in the lovely extras, the privacy and the design, but it doesn't change the fact their seats are narrower than some Economy Class seats. I would say this doesn't compare to SQ's business class.

Yep, double bed in the middle for every second row - our story now up at https://www.ausbt.com.au/qatar-s-q-suite-is-a-private-business-class-bedroom

I think QR have definitely thought about the middle seats on this design, but I think DL's new J on the A350, looks nicer and has wider seats for the solo traveller.

Hmm, looks nice, agree seats are narrow. but i'd hate to find myself in a seat adjacent to a family of 4 travelling with the family room concept. Imagine the noise.... Some of us don't like wearing headphones for an entire flight.

I think most people would agree, it does look impressive....

And product launch to in service within 3 months - now that is impressive

(Remember it took well over 12 months for the Qantas Business Suite)

his excellency often sets very impressive guideline dates. all though if the A380s or the new Qsuite are anything to go by i doubt this date is very realistic

Compare this to other airlines first class (eg. QF) and this product puts the competition to shame. Time to up the game the rest of them!

This is hardly at the level of any First, hard-product-wise. Its a business class. The arrangement is frankly basically BA's Club World with direct aisle access for all seats (and more amenity and nicer finishes and the use of a footwell to provide a table).

Qantas First gives you a far wider armchair seat, with a far longer bed, and much more high-end booze.
